Toby Speakers

I can see why this company has great reviews and has been in business so long. I recently obtained some older model Toby speakers and had a question about them. Emailed this store after hours ..got a response immediately which was unexpected, but really appreciated. Highly recommend anyone who would want to deal with a thoughtful business such as this.

I own 3 generations of Toby Guinn Speakers: In our library we have 1972 Toby Towers. Still today these beat anything on the market. Find a pair on the internet and you won’t be disappointed…. Mine have serial numbers hand-written by Toby himself. High fidelity, sub-woofer sound… I met Toby at his shop on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth, an NTSU physics graduate in 1968, I was in awe of him…. he was a member of the NTSU 1 O’Clock Jazz Lab Band…. And a physics genius.. Next, on our back porch I have Toby “Truck Bxs Speakers” ….. simply remarkable … driven by a Denon 300 wat per channel receiver. Music Fidelity at its best….. Now, in our Great Room, we just installed a Toby Tru-sound Narwal system. No distortion. 1,500 watts per channel. Full range, sub-woofer sound with no competitors close…. Sound Painting with no comparison…. Mind Blowing… This little Fort Worth company crushes the “Churn- em-out” Chinese “American-branded” retailers. Save your money and reach out to Toby Speakers if you are a lover of fidelity. jim wilson, fort worth, Tx

I have owned 2 of the cube 10’s for 6 years and they sound great. Unfortunately one of them suddenly died. I called the company and for a very reasonable fee, they quickly sent a replacement amplifier. A simple replacement and it’s like new. This was outstanding support. The story continues…the same subwoofer died again, another replacement sent, and it turned out that the binding post came loose. Again, a simple fix and I returned the unneeded replacement amplifier. I’ve never worked with an electronics company that provides such excellent support. Wish Samsung did the same for my tv. 5 stars all the way!

I was blown away by the service from True at Toby Speakers. Facing a problem with my new HiFi sub (no grill, potential for kid damage), I reached out for advice. True responded with an immediate solution: a 3D-printed grill prototype. Within days, he had fabricated and installed a perfect-fitting guard. The speed and effectiveness of his response were remarkable.

The only thing I have to add to the many 5star reviews posted over the years is just to state that based on my experience in June 2024, there has been no drop off in every aspect previously mentioned. Toby Speakers are all that. I have added more Toby products to my setup several times over the years. Each time, he tests and tweaks, if needed, my older speakers so that I may move them to another application, and then I update my primary system. The service is over the top in excellence, the price beats the competition for the level of sound technology you choose. The founder of the company has passed on, but uncommon in our world today, True has taken the company and the tech they design, build, and sell onward and upward. Toby G would be proud. You will enjoy your experience with them and their products.
